How to arrive

The main port connecting the mainland to the Aeolian Islands is Milazzo. In the ports of Palermo, Messina, Reggio Calabria and Naples there are connections to the islands, but with less regularity. As for the car, not all islands have driveways and those who possess them, that is, Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, and Filicudi, may be subject to restrictions, especially in summer. Also adjacent to the port of Milazzo area is provided with a good service of guarded parking lots, for those wishing to reach the Aeolian starting from Milazzo.

Hydrofoils: LibertyLines: there are connections with Milazzo, Messina and Palermo

Snav: there are connections to Naples (summer only)

Airports: We recommend to arrive at Catania Airport, is better linked with the port of Milazzo, alternatively also Palermo and Reggio Calabria can be a viable alternative (if you find the right connections); more complicated to get to the airports of Trapani, Naples or Lamezia Terme.

Helicopter: Airpanarea: connections by helicopter to the airports of Catania, Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Lamezia Terme
